There is so much to celebrate in my life. I'm seriously enjoying my experience every step of the way. Since I started 2 months ago, I have found my faith in myself, I have found hope for the things that my heart desires the most and I have found the love that I NEED to forgive myself so I can be kind and gentle to myself because I DESERVE IT! I have changed my mindset when it comes to my relationship with food. I don't feel deprived. I find that my mindfulness has helped me to make the conscious decisions when it comes to making my food choices. I don't feel the need of eating like I use to anymore. I listen to my body and I have to say that food doesn't control me anymore because I have the choice to eat what I want it's just food doesn't have the same effect on me. Learning how to eat in a healthy way is serving me immensely. I feel that I am empowered. Mentally I feel so strong. I am falling in love with myself for the first time in my life and it feels awesome. Seeing and feeling what my body is going through is amazing. Feeling my body change in a positive way is my reminder of what I'm doing is what I'm meant to do. I am actually visualizing myself free from weight. I am looking forward to achieving greatness for myself.

I decided to start working with Michelle when I finally realized I needed to make an achievable goal for myself. I came to her explaining my struggles with my body and the goals I had in mind. With no hesitation at all, Michelle took me on as a client even though I was a busy, young university student. Two years ago I began my weight-loss journey with Michelle O'Brien. Never in a million years would I have ever imagined I would be where I am today. With Michelle's unconditional support I went from weighing 252lbs (I am 5'1" tall) to 130lbs. I am only 33 years old and I knew it would only get harder to lose the weight the longer I stayed in my same old ways. I've tried so many fad diets and the latest trendy workout routines. Yet nothing ever worked long-term because I couldn't stick to them. From day one, Michelle made me part of the process in designing the best plan that would keep me consistent. She treats all her clients with such special care. I felt so important. I've never had anyone make my health such a priority. I have been a client of Michelle's since July 2016. My long term goal was to lose 30lbs....I've lost 40lbs!! While I considered myself a fairly healthy eater I wasn't seeing results. After hiring Michelle and seeing what I should be eating I realized I wasn't the heathly eater I thought I was. My entire life I have struggled with my weight, people often tell me that they can't believe I was ever that big or they never picture me as fat. To be honest, I am only 5'6" tall and weighed 237lbs. I felt horrible, embarrassed and was so tired of fluctuating. Fat, skinny, fat, skinny, I just really wanted to be healthy and fit. I have tried numerous exercise programs to lose weight and get myself in shape. From P90X, weight watchers and even starved myself with Ideal Protein. All of these crash diets worked for a while but never stuck.
I always fell of the wagon, then I was so hard on myself and always felt defeated. This happened to me for a number of reasons. These diets are all not sustainable and lack the simple principles and education to proper eating. Your also so focused on just losing weight, that you forgot about the major player in weight loss your, your mind.
I Met Michelle at O'Brien Fitness, in November 2016 and we have been working together since. She has a great total body approach, she not only makes individual plans for people based solely on their own needs but goes out of her way to ensure you are successful. With her total body approach, you don't just lose weight but you change our mind, attitude and outlook on life. I never knew what flexible dieting and macros were until I started working with Michelle and it has truly changed my life. It such a simple method and you don't feel like your limiting yourself. She makes it super easy to understand and follow. Her support, motivation and understanding allows you become fit and healthy, but most importantly changes your understanding of food and how to fuel your body.
Michelle has also created an individual work out plan for to help me get my physique to the next level. I am astonished of how much my body has changed and how much muscle I have gained. Her plan is no nonsense. With her work out plans I don't spend more then an hour in the gym, ever!! I have dynamic exercises that work my entire body. I don't have time to spend hours in the gym, with how busy life issues I have also had the opportunity to have a one on one personal training sessions with her, I never been pushed so hard and learn to understand that I am capable of so much more.

I have always had a love for simply getting into the gym and putting in work. I often used to use that as an excuse to shove anything and everything delicious into my mouth. This type of behavior led me to gain more and more unwanted weight despite leading a marginally active lifestyle.
I hit a point at my new job where I was 300 plus pounds and I made a choice not to keep living like this. The problem was never my work ethic in the gym, it was the type of food I was consuming and what time of the day I was consuming it.
